‘Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close’ and ‘Gravity’ get release date
I’ve posted a few weeks ago that Warner Bros. was working to get their Oscar hopefuls released in the end of this year, and probably “Extremely Loud…” will be released in December.
So, today the final dates were announced. Stephen Daldry’s “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close“, the adaptation of the Jonathan Safran Foer novel starring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock, will open in select cities on Dec. 25, and go wide Jan. 20.
Alfonso Cuarón’s space thriller Gravity 3D, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, has been set for Nov. 12, 2012.
“Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close” Release Date
Warner Bros. is working to get their biggest movies in order for awards season.
Stephen Daldry’s “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close” it’s set for sometime in December/2011. Based on the book by Jonathan Safran Foer, the story focuses on Oskar Schell, a nine-year-old boy from Manhattan whose father died on 9/11. Two years later, the boy discovers a key belonging to his father, which sends him on a search through the city. Newcomer Thomas Horn will play Oskar, with Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks as his parents, and John Goodman as a doorman who aids Schell on his quest.
