Kiss and tell: Smooch with Scarlett at Movie Awards was all Sandra’s idea

Sandra Bullock stole the show at Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards by sharing a stage smooch with Scarlett Johansson — and Gatecrasher hears the lip-lock was all Sandy’s idea.

“Scarlett was originally supposed to present a different award with Zac Efron, but when Sandy heard Scarlett would be there, she reached out to her,” says an insider. “It was a preplanned, scripted kiss the producers knew about – and it was Sandra’s camp’s idea.” The pair talked about their presenting tactic the night before at the Spike TV Guys Choice Awards.

MTV Movie Awards

More pictures, and video will be added soon, so stay tuned!

For the second time in as many days, Sandra Bullock stepped before the public, looking radiant and collecting awards.

Sunday night her prize was the Generation Award, presented at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards and marking her first televised appearance since the March 7 Oscars and the domestic drama that followed.

Defining the Generation Award as something that goes to “old people” who are clearing out to make way for younger ones, Bullock told the crowd inside Universal City’s Gibson Amphitheater, “That’s not going to happen. I’m staying. Because no matter what you might have seen or heard or read lately, I love what I do. And I’m not going anywhere.”

Further clearing the air, Bullock, 45, said in response to what may have been reported about her, “One, I’m not dead. Two, everyone has cellulite, not just me. Paparazzi need more flattering lenses. And whoever established the high road and how high it should be should be fired.”

All-Star Introduction
Scarlett Johansson, Bradley Cooper and Betty White introduced Bullock, with the very mention of her name receiving a standing ovation, followed by prolonged applause – all as Bullock was sitting in the audience.

“I’m not alone when I tell you I hope you know how loved you are,” said Cooper, also acknowledging that their movie flop, All About Steve, had cleaned up at this year’s Razzies – happily, the same week Bullock won her Oscars for The Blind Side.

White said of Bullock, “You are grace defined, and I adore you madly.” Then, in keeping with the riotous nature of the MTV Awards, White made fun of Bullock’s movies, twisting all their plots into pieces. (At the Jan. 23 Screen Actors Guild Awards it was Bullock who presented the Life Achievement Award to White.)

Finally, Johansson just stood on the stage and said nothing. Once Bullock got up to the microphone, she told Johansson that she loved her, but her presence was “a little weird,” and asked what she was doing there. The tall blonde explained that she was there for her husband, Bullock’s The Proposal costar Ryan Reynolds, who couldn’t attend. Johansson also noted that Bullock and Reynolds should have won the MTV Award for Best Kiss (which instead went to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson), because their kiss was “so sweet.”

So Bullock lip-locked with Johansson. That accomplished, Bullock said, “Can we please go back to normal – because therapy is really expensive.” She also asked for a prayer for those contending with the oil spill in the Gulf.

First Woman to Win
Bullock’s win also marks the first time the Generation Award – MTV’s version of the Life Achievement honor – has gone to a woman since the category was introduced in 2005. Previous winners, in chronological order, were Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller.

Saturday night, at Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards in Culver City, Bullock made a surprise appearance – and received a standing ovation when she accepted the Troops Choice Award for Entertainer of the Year. Members of the military stationed around the world voted on the award, and the ceremony will be aired on Spike TV June 20.

Sandra Bullock Wins Two Razzies

Bullock, up for an Academy Award for her work in “The Blind Side,” won the Razzie for her role in “All About Steve.”

“Something tells me you all didn’t watch the film,” Sandra Bullock said as she accepted the Razzie Award as worst actress of 2009 for “All About Steve” at the Barnsdall Gallery Theater in Hollywood on Saturday night. “I thought no one went to see this film, but I know that there are more than 700 members here. That means that the majority of the 700 cast their vote, so that means 352 …?”

As she arrived on stage, she pulled a wagon filled with DVDs, noting, “We brought everybody in the audience a DVD of ‘All About Steve.’ ” She asked the audience members to watch it, rethink their decision and if they agree that she really wasn’t that bad, “I will come back next year. I will give back the Razzie.”

Showing good humor, Bullock accused members of voting for her just because she promised to attend.

“I said I would show up and then I miraculously won!” she said, adding that her victory is further proof in Hollywood that “all you have to do is show up and you get an award.”

“I brought the shooting script,” she added. “I’m willing to go through page by page, read the line the way I did it in the film and, if anyone wants to give me a line read of how I could’ve done it better…. We can do this till about 4 o’clock in the morning. Or you guys can just watch the movie and rethink your decision, and I’ll show up next year and we can go out for a drink afterward.” The audience cheered and applauded.

Bullock also took issue with her second Razzie win, which she shared with “All About Steve” costar Bradley Cooper as worst screen couple.

“Again, if you had seen the film, seen it with your eyes, it’s pretty much a film about a woman stalking a man,” she said. “That doesn’t really set up the premise for a loving couple. So giving us the worst couple award is kind of duh.”

Bullock almost didn’t show up because she had agreed to attend before she knew what date the ceremony was held. It turned out that she was busy Saturday night hosting “The Night Before,” a charity event to benefit the Motion Picture Television Fund Foundation. However, she broke away to fulfill her Razzie promise. [Source]
