Earlier this week Warner Bros. released the first trailer for Our Brand is Crisis, in which Sandra plays Jane Bodine, a formerly world-class campaign strategist who gets a shot at redemption when she’s called on to help sway a presidential race in South America.

Also starring Billy Bob Thornton, Anthony Mackie, Scott McNairy, Zoe Kazan, Ann Dowd, and Joaquim de Almeida, and directed by David Gordon Green, Our Brand Is Crisis arrives in theaters on Oct. 30 and will premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. Watch it:

Hello, friends!

We are moving servers, again. The previous one added a new system of adcodes (according them, to help paying the server costs) and it was showing up inappropriate/porn advertisements, and I don’t want my visitors having to deal with this kind of thing.

I have found a new server, and I’m currently uploading the gallery images right now. All images are safe, just need to be reuploaded. It shall be done by the end of the day.

Our Brand Is Crisis, starring Sandra and Billy Bob Thornton, will world premiere at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, it was announced Tuesday.

The film is an adaptation of the 2005 documentary of the same name, which follows a group of American consultants who accept the challenge of getting an unpopular Bolivian president re-elected. In the upcoming feature, Bullock plays a maverick political consultant, “Calamity” Jane Bodine, who comes out of retirement to lead the team, while Thornton portrays her enemy.

Warner Bros. has given an awards-season release date of October 30 to the film, and the 40th Toronto International Film Festival runs from September 10 to 20.

Entertainment Weekly gave us this week, in order of their Fall Movie Preview magazine issue, the first look of Sandy in Our Brand is Crisis.

Sandra stars in this drama as political strategy “Calamity” Jane Bodine, a role originally written for her Gravity costar George Clooney. “About two and a half years ago I put out feelers saying, “I’m not reading anything I’m excited about,'”, Bullock says. “‘Are there any male roles out there that [the filmmakers] don’t mind switching to female?'”
Clooney and his producing partner Grant Heslov had been developing a script “suggested by” the 2005 documentary Our Brand is Crisis, about a group of American political consultants hired by former Bolivian president Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada to help him get reelected. After Bullock reached out to Clooney, they decided to flip the gender of the lead role. “That character, Bodine, is basically a female Karl Rove,” Bullock says. “She’s brilliant at the devious side of politics.”
Anthony Mackie and Ann Dowd costar as consultants who lure Bodine out of retirement; Billy Bob Thornton plays a rival campaign strategist. “Its all about the win for them, and probably not for the right reasons,” says Bullock. Consider this prep for next year’s US presidential race. “Timing was very important with this movie,” says director David Gordon Green. “Its going to start a lot of conversations.” Our conversation starter: Why in the hell isn’t anyone writing decent (female) roles for Sandra Bullock? – Clark Collis
